Spread the Word
English Marmite is absolutely horrible. It is chocolatey brown and runny, not mention revoltingly sweet. I have had to ask my mum to send some Australian Marmite over, not to mention some Peck's Anchovette Paste. Fascinatingly, Peck's was English, but they sold the licence to an Australian company and now it's only available there... and mysteriously in South Africa as well. If you're not familiar with Peck's, go straight to the supermarket and get some, then spread it thickly on white toast with plenty of cold butter. It's easy to eat the whole jar in one sitting.

Hello Giddy. Good to see you are back with two new posts. I loved your post about the solicitor. It sounds too nutty to be true - like something you would read out of a novel. Will you be going back though??
It's a nice sunny Sunday today. Me and Chris just hope it lasts.....
Speaking of English eccentrics, I got a DVD copy of the Naked Civil Servant from the library the other day. It features a half hour interview with Quentin Crisp. He said in England it was too hard to make friends, and what was worse, once you had made them, you were stuck with them. However, in America, everyone was your friend, and no one stuck around.
My regards to Doctor 'M'.............
I just read your comment on my diary with regards to your mother meeting John Howard. What kind of connections does she have??? Was it at some type of Liberal party lunch or fundraiser??
Well, I don't think your Mum will be reading Not Happy, John.
My mum was always very, very fond of Pauline Hanson. I"m sure she would have voted for her.
Plus my brother liked Pauline Hanson.
cheerio for now.....
