Pumpkin

Oops, just realised that anyone not from Australia might be confused by my last post. In the UK, pumpkin is not really considered to be food... not even sure why they sell it! It's considered to be only fit for cows. Very strange, when it considered to be delicious in Australia, eg. pumpkin and ricotta lasagne, pumpkin scones, pumpkin pie (as made by acclaimed chef Rosie O'Connor). One of the best things to do is just brush chopped pumpkin with honey and olive oil and roast it until all soft and squidgy and caramelised around the edges.

How strange. One presumes that pumpkin is used the same way the world over. It's just a vegetable.

We are having a nice sunny day today, for a change. That could all change in a second of course. The weather has been miserable, and Chris was just saying to me the other day he can't wait til it's over.

I have to work at 3:50 pm, so me and Chris have to decide on somewhere to have lunch together. Then I'll peddle off. I don't mind working Sundays. More money, and less work. They're a total bludge.

Chris' broccili recipe in yummy grand. Very refreshing and light.

Until Giddy's next post, adieu, adieu......

I just read your BB post. Yes, I recall reading about that in the papers. It's strange that the UK BB is so nuts, and ours is, well, different.

The Bollywood talent quest sounds fun. We'll definitely have to look out for it when it comes here.

Chris' recipe sounds like an update of an old classic, Maria's Broccoli Bake, given the Hubbard hurry up and a touch of chili class.
